Emily Doucette, MS, MPH

Medical Student, Tufts University School of Medicine

Emily Doucette is a medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine and a public health professional committed to strengthening primary care in Massachusetts. She holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Law from Boston University and completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts, where her thesis focused on addressing the primary care shortage in Massachusetts.

Emily’s work bridges clinical training and health policy. She has served as a Summer Fellow at the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission, where she developed frameworks to assess inpatient bed need and analyzed state health planning strategies. She is an active leader in statewide advocacy, serving as Alternate Student Trustee for the Massachusetts Medical Society, Alternate Student Director for the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians, and a leader within the Massachusetts Primary Care Alliance for Patients. She has helped draft and organize support for policy efforts advancing Primary Care for You.

Emily is passionate about equitable, community-centered care and believes that robust investment in primary care is foundational to improving health outcomes and reducing overall health care costs. She plans to pursue a career in broad-scope family medicine while continuing to advocate for sustainable primary care reform.
