Urvashi Pandit, DO, MPH, MPA

Dr. Urvi Pandit is a family physician whose work sits at the intersection of clinical medicine, public health, and policy, with a particular focus on health equity. A recent graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School MPA program, her policy interests center on healthcare financing, healthcare delivery reform, the role of social determinants of health in shaping population health outcomes. 

 

Dr. Pandit completed her residency at Unity Healthcare, one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in Washington, DC, where she cared for patients in underserved settings including jails, homeless shelters, and schools. During residency, she was appointed by the American Academy of Family Physicians to serve as the Resident and Fellow Representative to the American Medical Association and also served as Co-Chair of the Public Health and Science Committee of the District of Columbia Academy of Family Physicians.

 

Prior to residency, Dr. Pandit served as a Medical Epidemiologist with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health during the COVID-19 pandemic. She led large-scale response efforts, spearheaded vaccine outreach for frontline workers and underserved communities, and developed programs to protect populations experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

 

Dr. Pandit's clinical and policy work centers on addressing the social determinants of health, advocating for vulnerable populations through comprehensive primary care, and engaging in health policy at the systems level.
